Yateley Green Conservation Area

The Yateley Green Conservation Area was the first in Yateley. Originally it consisted of a small area of Green in front of St Peter's Church and the Dog & Partridge. In 1980 the Yateley Society requested that the district council extend the Conservation Area to include the whole of Yateley Green, including its historic houses. Following the rejection of Hart's first Town Centre Plan in 1985 the whole of Yateley Manor School grounds, and the ateley Industries site were added.

The character of the Conservation Area has changed considerably over the last 25 years. This has mainly been due to continuing attrition caused by the granting of small-scale planning applications.

Yateley Green CA contains the historic heart of Yateley. This has been recognised in the YATELEY VILLAGE DESIGN FRAMEWORK. The Church End Green Improvement Scheme will be implemented during 2006.
