Church End Green Environmental Improvement Scheme
Your response to past consultation about the long term planning of your village has served to highlight the need to restore the centre of Yateley.
You told us:
"turn Yateley into a place to be proud of, and that others outside Yateley would want to visit"
"Retain the 'village feel' of Yateley that I moved here for"
You agreed that Church End Green would be the best place to start to restore the sense of place of Yateley because it is:
* one of the historic centres of Yateley;
* an important entrance to Yateley; and
* let down by poor management of traffic and pedestrian movements.

Feedback 060003: (at May Fayre 2006) Parking in the main road outside the Dog and Partridge seems very dangerous – especially as it necessitates opening the drivers door onto the very busy main road

Feedback 060005: (at May Fayre 2006)3. A real solution to the parking will only be found by a car park in the area. Any available plot should be earmarked for this and not for building.

Feedback 060005: (at May Fayre 2006) Still concerned about the wide road areas, green outside the church plus wide entrance from Reading Road. Also parking dangers on narrowed Reading Road.

Feedback 060007: (at May Fayre 2006) Church End Green Proposals – the bus service recently increased from 2 per hour to 6 per hour, so having buses stop partially/wholly on the road will cause serious peak hour congestion and jam up the Hall Lane roundabout. (The bus arrangements were designed on 2 per hour)
